Always Remember Your Pet At Play with a commemorative brick at Gilbert's new dog park. Scheduled to be completed sometime in 2005, this new dog park at the Santan Freeway & Ray Road will feature lighted play areas for dogs including turf areas with a special fenced area for timid dogs. For only $20 you can purchase a commemorative 4 x 8 inch brick to be placed in this new facility. You may include your name, the name of the pet you wish to honor or a short message. The bricks will be epoxy filled to assure lifetime clarity of the engraving and to prevent the letters from chipping. There is room for 20 characters per line including spaces with 3 lines of type. For more information, email mariek@ci.gilbert.az.us or call 480-503-6760.

Sky Harbor Airport has dog park and pet rest area located at Terminal 4, outside of the baggage claim level on the west end. The "Bone Yard" pet park provides a convenient place where passengers traveling with their animals can give them a restroom and water break. "Mutt Mitts" are provided for owners to clean up after their pets and water buckets are available for a drink. Two water faucets are located within a lighted area filled with gravel in the shape of a bone. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is one of the only airports in the country to offer this amenity for travelers and their four-legged friends.
